The Reg Erhardt Library has streaming videos and DVDs available for use by SAIT faculty, staff and students.
The Library has instructional DVDs available for use in class by SAIT faculty. Instructors can pre-book Instructional DVDs and pick them up from the Information Desk.
Students may view these DVDs in the library at stations located on Level-0 or in a Study Room. Students cannot pre-book Instructional DVDs.
Booking an Instructional Video
Click the “Book a DVD” button to book instructional videos. Bookings can also be made:
- In person at the library Information Desk. Requests for more than 3 titles require pre-booking.
- By phone: 403.284.8431
- By email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Bookings should be made at least 2 business days before the date required and require a valid SAIT ID#.
Picking Up Your DVD
If pre-booked, your item will be put aside for you at the Library Information Desk on Level-1.
Second party pick up can be arranged in special circumstances, call 403.284.8431 or email email@example.com to make these arrangements.
Returning Your DVD
When the Library is open, return your video at the Level-1 Information Desk or through the book drop at the Library entrance. After hours, please use the book drop near the Library's south entrance.
Extending Your Booking
If you need to keep your video for a longer period, contact the Library Video Services at 403.284.8431. It may be possible to extend your booking period.
Fines for Late Returns
Fines of $1.00 per day are levied for all overdue items. Extensions may be possible if you email firstname.lastname@example.org before the item is overdue.
All streaming videos are licensed for classroom use. These videos can only be accessed by SAIT staff, instructors and students. Off-campus use will require a SAIT ID# and Library PIN. Check Film Help if you're having trouble linking or embedding videos.
3 Day Loan DVDs
The library also has a collection of DVDs available for home and classroom use. These may be borrowed by SAIT students, faculty and staff for 3 days. See Loans and Renewals and Fines for more information.
