Services for Distance Students

As a distance education student, library products and services are freely available to you upon registration.

Registration and Privileges

All SAIT students have access to the Reg Erhardt Library, including services such as borrowing materials, requesting items from other libraries, searching electronic resources, and research help.

To register, you will need to request a Library Personal Identification Number (PIN).

Requesting Books & Videos

Distance learners registered with the Library are eligible to borrow most items in the collection. Videos available for loan by distance students are identified with the location of VIDEO-DIST. Books and videos are sent to you by mail (free of charge).

• Interlibrary Loans : need something from another library? We can get it for you, from all around the world.
• TAL (The Alberta Library) Card : borrow from over 100 libraries in Alberta. For Alberta residents only.

• The Reg Erhardt Library has thousands of articles from magazines, newspapers, trade publications and academic/scholarly journals.
• Streaming Video – On–demand video covering almost every subject imaginable.
• Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, and Statistics

More Research Assistance

• Subject guides connect what you’re studying with the Library’s resources.
