Renewing a book, or other material, allows the borrower to keep that item for an additional loan period. All the same guidelines which apply to loans also apply to renewals. See Loans and Fines for more information.
Visitors using The Alberta Library (TAL) Card cannot renew library materials.
Other borrowers may not renew library materials if:
Borrowed items that have reached their renewal limit must be returned to the library. After 1 week, if no one else has taken the item, it may be borrowed again.
Renewals can be done:
Try to do online renewals a couple days before the due date. This allows you time to contact the library, if a problem occurs, before overdue fines begin to be charged.
A SAIT ID# and PIN are needed to renew materials online.
