Request Articles and Books from Other Libraries

Interlibrary loan is a free service for SAIT students, staff and faculty that makes material from libraries around the world available to the SAIT community.

Note: If you want to borrow a book from a library in Calgary The Alberta Library Card is also available.

Libraries wanting to borrow from SAIT should go to Interlibrary Loans for Libraries.

Interlibrary loans are subject to the following guidelines:

  • We cannot predict the arrival date of your request. Books coming by mail may take several weeks to arrive.
  • You may have up to 5 books from other libraries out at one time. There is no limit on article reproductions.
  • Renewals may be allowed at the discretion of the lending institution. Contact Interlibrary Loan at least 2 business days prior to your due date to request a renewal.
  • Return books to the SAIT Library Information Desk. You can keep article reproductions.
  • Charges may apply for late, damaged or lost items.
  • Students should use the TAL Card for materials available from Calgary libraries. Staff and faculty can request any materials.
